During the production of our premium dried mangoes, up to 30-40% of the fruit's total weight (consisting of seeds and peels) is typically discarded. At ALHUNG, we transformed this massive bio-waste challenge into a high-value stream for the personal care and nutraceutical sectors.

1. Bioactive Potential of the Hidden Kernel

The Kaew mango seed is not waste; it is a dense biological powerhouse. The inner kernel is exceptionally rich in polyphenols, antioxidants (primarily mangiferin), and crucial fatty acids such as oleic, stearic, and linoleic acids. In cosmetic formulations, mango kernel butter outperforms traditional Shea Butter in terms of skin absorption speed, oxidative stability, and deep moisture retention properties.

2. Solvent-Free Green Extraction Technology

Common extraction methods rely on hexane or other toxic chemical solvents. At ALHUNG, we developed a system using supercritical CO2 extraction combined with nitrogen-shielded cold-pressing. This guarantees zero chemical residue in the final active. We yield an ultra-pure Mango Seed Butter and an ultra-fine Mango Seed Powder, packed with natural prebiotics.

Following oil extraction, the remaining seed meal is milled into a biodegradable exfoliating powder for premium skincare, while the outer woody shells are utilized as green biomass fuel to heat our factory drying rooms. This locks in a fully closed carbon loop, allowing our B2B partners to claim certified Upcycled status with comprehensive environmental traceability.
